Q: What is a High Risk Licence ?
A:
Regulations implementing the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work commenced in Western Australia on 1 October 2007.
These regulations:
- apply to those involved in dogging, rigging and scaffolding work and operators of forklifts, cranes and pressure vessels;
- replace National Certificates of Competency with a five yearly renewable High Risk Work Licence and;
- recognise the need for quality training and assessment for those who wish to obtain a High Risk Work Licence.
