ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. In this course students are required to demonstrate personal
awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. It covers identifying and orally reporting
common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly
selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

COURSE PRE-REQUISITES

- All Students must have basic english reading and writting skills, interpreters will not be allowed in this course.
- Students who suffer from any learning difficulties need to let CSTC Training Staff know prior to the start of the course.

 


** As of January 1st 2015 all students will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to obtain their Statement of Attainment or qualification when studying a nationally recognised training course with CSTC.

Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive the following:

 

- National Recognised Statement of Attainment for the unit : CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work in the construction industry
- Construction Induction White Card :Issued by WorkSafe Western Australia, this card will also be registered on the WorkSafe Database.

CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

If you are unable to attend you must notify CSTC within 2 working days prior to the course commencement. A cancellation fee of HALF the full course cost will be imposed to all persons or companies who do not advise the CSTC of any non-attendance.
